Sub is an austrian electronic music producer, who is on his way getting international appearance. in this interview he gives some insights in his musical world.

Our man Sub is an Electronic Music Producer, DJ and Live Act currently living in Innsbruck, Austria. Since 2007 he’s also known as being the founder of Syncopathic.Recordings, a label featuring artists like Equinox, Macc, dgoHn, Cycom, SuMoNe or Mendelayev amongst others.
His passion for music has always been the primary force in his life. Starting as a bassplayer in various crossover bands, he later became addicted to broken beats.
Sub’s productions are influenced by complex drumpatterns, heavy subbass and deep atmospheres, whereas his DJ-sets are more eclectic, embracing everything from atmospheric music, Good-Looking style and Drumfunk up to Jungle, Amen-choppage and Hardstep.

apple mac pro 2×2.8 quad core with 8gb ram (yeah!), logic pro 9, event tr8 xl, motu 828 mk2, rhodes mk 1 (1976) with preamp from fender rhodes LA (http://www.fenderrhodesla.com), uad plug ins, native instruments complete, access virus c, roland juno 60 and loads of other soft synths and plugs..

Q: new production, release, CD…..?

actually my new 12″ vinyl on subtle audio recordings is out since a few weeks and available from all good record stores

SUBTLE013 SUB – TENSIONS / HALLELUJA / HYDRA

for now the release is available on vinyl, digital release will be announced later this year!

also later this year there will be 3 tracks by myself on a big 2xcd/vinyl various artists project on subtle audio recordings. i cant say much about the project at this stage, but the tracklist is really impressive!

next to that there will appear tracks on two cd projects by the u.s. based label pinecone moonshine which will also include a brillant dj fracture remix of my tune “so finster die nacht”. there are plans for a sub 12″ ep on a new daughterlabel of germanies alphacut records! releases on the dutch labels break fast audio and counter intelligence are also in the pipeline.
